Former Launceston General Hospital chief executive officer Stephen Ayre - now the Royal Hobart Hospital executive director of medical services - had a "medical incident" while giving evidence on Friday.

Commission of Inquiry hearings have been called off for the day and remaining witnesses adjourned after a former Launceston General Hospital chief executive officer suffered a "medical incident" while giving evidence.
