FATHER and son Colin and Ben Hewitt led the Hewitt Cattle Company to a resounding victory in the inaugural Australian Pastoral Company Muster at the Hughes family's Caldervale Station, Tambo, on the weekend. The Hewitt Cattle Company team of Colin, Ben, Rebecca Hewitt, Darryl Land, Brodie Land, Arran Houlden and Stirling Scrivener was a model of consistency throughout the weekend but came into its own during the campdrafting component to claim the title of champion cattle company. Previously known as the RM Williams Longreach Muster, the "new look" event attracted teams from eight of the nation's biggest cattle companies, including Consolidated Pastoral Company, AACo, Australian Country Choice, Australian Cattle and Beef Holdings, Georgina Pastoral Company, Longreach Pastoral College and NAPCO. Wins to Arran Houlden (individual) and Brodie Land (junior) in the golden spurs campdraft helped cement the overall victory for the Hewitt Cattle Company. Ben Hewitt said: "Thanks  to the Hughes and Rains families as well as all those involved with Georgina Pastoral Company for being such wonderful hosts. I would also like congratulate all the other teams making the effort to attend this wonderful event and how well they all rode over the weekend."
