Despite last Saturday’s hot conditions, a total of 12 ladies competed in a stableford competition at Griffith Golf Club.  In Division 1 (handicap 0-26), first place went to Elizabeth Graham. Graham finished with 35 points to defeat Val Browne, runner-up with 30 points on a countback.  The day’s Division 2 (handicap 27-45) winner was Julie McWilliam with 32 points.  Second place went to Cherie Eade, who finished with 30 points. There were two balls in the ball competition, with the score required being 30 points.  Meat vouchers for the secret nine went to Eleanor Hancock and Marie Centofanti. On Saturday, a total of 11 ladies played a stroke competition.  Elizabeth Graham continued her good form to win Division 1 (handicap 0-23) with 73 net. Second place was taken out by Denise Turner with 76 net. In Division 2 (handicap 24-45), first place went to Val Browne with 77 net after a countback. Margaret James finished in second place. Balls went down to scores of 79 net. Griffith Golf Club is located in Remembrance Drive, Griffith.
