Playing at South Launceston throughout his junior career and securing a senior premiership at the club in 2013, Harper spent 2014 playing for Werribee in Victoria before returning to his home state for a horror run.
He signed with Western Storm for their second - and final - season in the TSL before heading to the North-West Coast for Burnie, where he played the 2016 season before missing their last in the league with an ankle injury.
Joining the Blues in 2018, the 26-year-old electrician is now in his second season as Launceston skipper alongside 2013 premiership teammate Jay Blackberry, while fellow ex-Bulldogs Dylan Riley and coach Mitch Thorp are there for the ride.

"Mitch has coached me for a lot of games of footy now, so I've got a good relationship with him," he said.
"We know what we expect of each other, we have pretty high expectations of each other and you'll see us on the ground yelling at each other from time to time but that's just Mitch and I.
"I've got a really good relationship with Dylan there and Jay Blackberry, we've all played a lot of football together which I think is a good thing for the young group as well that a lot of us older guys are on the same page and we know what to expect."
Harper holds the lead of the State League player of the year award after nine rounds.
