While the NTFA season will see no football played before at least May 31, teams are still mentally preparing for their shots at glory.

In the seventh of a series of previews, The Examiner looks at Bracknell, their array of new recruits and their ambitions as they look to put a disappointing year behind them.
Coaches: Andrew Philpott.
Co-captains: Richard Howe and Callum Mulder.
2019 finish: Seventh - five wins and 11 losses
Ins: Dakota Bannister, Tyron Mansell, Braidon Pearn (all North Launceston), Ben Seamer, Ed Keach (both Victoria), Aiden Jackman (Clarence), Anthony Walker, Tim Walker, Adam Smith, Jacob Gelston (all returning), Brett Mansell (assistant coach).
Outs: Josh Fisher, Kobi Latham, Jackson Chorley (all Bridport), Matthew Carlile (ODFA).
Who's impressed: "I'm impressed with my whole group, I've had about 26 that have really stepped up," Philpott said.
"Out of that, you're looking at Callum Mulder and Jack Dyer. Then you've got kids like Sam Goodluck who I don't think is 18 yet and Jack Ross who is definitely not 18 - they are two kids who have stepped up as well."
Coach says: "Brett has been a big help to drive a culture I've been talking about since being back at the club for two years.
"It's just about a work ethic and a culture that the players set the tone and it's up to them to drive it - it can't be all about the coaches.
"Obviously Dakota, coming from North Launceston - let's face it, the best club in Tasmania in the last 6-8 years the way they've turned things around.
"Since [Zane] Littlejohn they've had coaches that have been able to keep it rolling - they've put their own slant on it but it just proves it's a player-driven culture and they don't accept mediocrity down there, so to have Dakota, a three-time premiership player has been huge for us with the insights he's given us.
"The other recruits, Aiden Jackman from Clarence and the boys that come back from Geelong, they've all been playing pretty good footy so they come from some good cultures and they've really fitted right in.
"That was the disappointing thing about the season not starting - we were ready to go, we were really ready to go.
OTHER PREVIEWS
"We talk a lot on Facebook obviously and they are putting up what they are doing individually which is good but it's bloody frustrating we aren't out there because we were ready to go.
"My first goal would have been to make finals after a pretty poor year last year. I'm not going to give you any excuses, we weren't good enough, other teams stepped up and we didn't so to go back to seventh was disappointing.
"From there, people obviously talk about top three but if you make finals, you can win it from anywhere I believe, the comp is pretty tight so there won't be much between first and fifth."
