While the NTFA season will see no football played before at least May 31, teams are still mentally preparing for their shots at glory.

In the fourth of a series of previews and first for the premier division, The Examiner looks at Deloraine as the Kangaroos add further depth to their squad following some big-name recruits joining the side.
Co-Captains: Stan Tyson (son of former coach - Kent Tyson) and Jarrod Scott (son of former Deloraine star - Shane Scott).
"This is one of the most exciting things as we've had Bradley Crowden, who has played over 350 games for the club, he's been captain for over a decade now and he's chosen and requested to step down," Dornauf said.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT
"He will continue to play and play a high level of football in senior football, and hands over the reins to younger co-captains.
"It's exciting as we are looking for them to lead for the next decade themselves and they both bring different dynamics - Stan is more of a leader off the field and Jarrod is more of a 'get on my back and follow me' type."
Ins: Brayden Butler (Latrobe), Tyler Kelly (Latrobe), Shaun McCrossen (East Devonport), Cade Triffitt (East Dev.), Jake Reeve (East Dev.), Gilbert Tatnell (North Launceston), Waylon Tatnell (NL), Dalton Murfett (Caprona), Jake Freshney (Caprona), Zavier Webster (NL), Ethan Sydes (NL), Xavier Manshanden, Addison Cosslett (St Patrick's)
Outs: Nathan Rataj, Ashdyn Heathcote (both to Queensland), Liam Ryan (North Launceston)
Last year finish: Eighth - four wins, 12 losses
Who's impressed: "Tyler Kelly will be one of the silkiest movers in the NTFA and Cade Triffitt - they are our two half-back flanks and I'm very, very excited when the season starts to see them move.
"We've completely changed our game plan and structure based off their skill level and movement out of the backline."
Coach says: "Our pre-season to date and our continuation of the previous pre-season has been superb.
"We're really happy with where we were at three weeks ago and now we've lessened off the running schedule to give people a break during this time and we are hopeful the NTFA will give us a period of maybe two to three weeks notice so we can ramp our training back up to be in peak performance.
"Our numbers on the track have been great, well in excess of 50 every night which makes it easier for coaches to start organise game patterns and building game patterns.
OTHER PREVIEWS
"I think last year we struggled with numbers and as such, when it came to our weekend games, even though we had more than enough to fill out our reserves, seniors and under-18s, we lacked the necessary game plan rehearsal.
"The town has been extremely supportive and the committee has been extremely supportive of a younger coach, especially a playing coach as well.
"It adds a few different dynamics, which requires exterior coaching from Brad Powe and Craig Lovell and in-game coaching from Matty O'Donoghue and our backline.
