The C.H. Smith car park will be available for use by the public from Monday.
Managed by the City of Launceston council, almost 70 car spaces will be available on the ground floor via the main entry off Canal Street.
The parking fees will be identical to those of all council-owned multi-storey car parks in the CBD, at $2 for the first hour, then $1 every half-hour after.
The car park will operate from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday), with free parking from 3.30pm each weekday.
