Speaking in Mowbray on Sunday morning, Member for Bass Michael Ferguson said legislation from 2021 would be discussed, but the Premiers state of the state address was the government's first priority.
"There's plenty of legislation in the pipeline, but our focus for the next fortnight will be on the state of the state address and allowing all MPs to respond to that," he said.
Beyond the address, the climate change state action bill and container deposit scheme were two pieces of legislation Mr Ferguson said would be discussed.
"The climate change state action bill is before the parliament," he said.
"We also have the important legislation around a container deposit scheme to be finalised as well."
Mr Ferguson said the container deposit scheme legislation was part of a stream of work being overseen by Environment Minister Roger Jaensch, whose department was working towards an implementation date as the scheme went through the Legislative Council.
He said major initiatives were also set to be announced.
"There'll be major initiatives announced across the portfolios, one of which has already been previewed in terms of creating a housing authority with a renewed emphasis on building and supporting people in the housing system here in Tasmania," he said.
Tasmanian Labor leader Rebecca White said her party would like to see donation disclosure reform progressed through the Parliament.
"The legislation I think Tasmanians are most interested in seeing is donation disclosure reform, a promise that was made by this government when Will Hodgman was still the Premier," she said.
"That must be a priority for the parliament to resolve this year. "We need to make sure there is transparency about who's donating to political parties as well as how much can be donated."
