Another person diagnosed with COVID-19 has died while hospital cases across the state have declined in the past 24 hours.

On Wednesday morning, Premier Peter Gutwein confirmed a fourth person associated with the virus had died since the reopening of borders on December 15.
The deceased - a woman in her 80s - was admitted to hospital on January 13 and was being treated for COVID pneumonia.

The most recent death brings the state's COVID related death total to 17.
Other hospital cases have declined with the total number of patients across the state dropping from 35 to 28, with the Department of Health advising only 11 people were being treated specifically for COVID related issues.
Two people remain in intensive care with no one being ventilated.
New cases in the state rose from 643 to 712, while active cases declined by 158 to 5094.
Dr Veitch said he expected cases to remain between 600 and 700 for a few days, and for the reduction in daily case numbers to be "slower" from now on.
The number of people under observation in the COVID@home program dropped from 393 to 319 while people under observation in the state's three community case management facilities remained at 10.
People released from isolation fell slightly to 870, while the total number of people released has been recorded at 21,298.
Testing numbers for both PCR and RATs increased with 4136 RATs handed out, while the total number of lab tests in the past 24 hours recorded at 1737.
