The Launceston star has booted 51 goals in his first 10 games, with eight roster games and at least two finals to come should the Blues finish in the top two as expected.
No player has kicked more than 80 in a season since Launceston's Brian Finch reached kicked 100 in 2011, bringing up three figures in the penultimate round at South Launceston before adding another five in finals.
Six current Blues players - Riley, coach Mitch Thorp, captain Jobi Harper, vice-captain Joe Groenewegen, TSL games record holder Jay Blackberry and 2012 Tassie Medal runner-up Michael Musicka - played in that same game, which Launceston won by 53 points.
"There's starting to be a little bit of noise around Dylan kicking 100 goals," Thorp said.
"What I will say is Dylan is very much a team man - last week he had the ball 25m out from goal and he passed it off to Jay.
"I'm going to encourage him if it's within 25m, maybe just go back and kick the goal.
"Brian Finch was a Launceston player that fittingly 10 years ago when they won the premiership, he kicked 100 goals.
"Oddly enough Jobi played on him that day up at South Launceston when he brought up the 100 and I know Jobi's never forgotten about it.
"If he gets somewhere near it we'll give him every chance to get there and it would be a really special feat, but it's underpinned by Dylan's work ethic in the last two seasons."
Riley's table-topping Blues will meet Clarence at Windsor Park at 2pm on Saturday.
