Saturday's North Hobart clash will be open to as many as 1250 spectators after the Demons had an application to trial a 150 per cent crowd rise accepted by state government.
The increased crowd limit could become commonplace among Tasmanian sporting events should Saturday's trial be deemed successful by public health.

"It's obviously exciting," Northern Bombers coach Taylor Whitford said.
"Unfortunately we've had people miss out on our games that would normally come so that's unfortunate - being live-streamed they can see it, but to be there live is a different feature.
"We've just got to do it safely, it's got to be done properly.
"We're the showpiece this week so hopefully all goes well and we can replicate that in the back end of the year and hopefully get that crowd at our next home game potentially - I know Launceston have looked at doing it as well."
The Northern Bombers have used UTAS Stadium's infrastructure to good effect across the season so far, but will be grateful for the chance to welcome more fans into a ground Launceston president Sandra Boland said felt so empty "you could hear a pin drop".
"We've got to go through the right formulas and get it set, but credit to our footy club and the way we've gone about producing more than 500," Whitford said.
"We've obviously got the ability to have the function centre and have it separate so credit to our footy club and hopefully we can have the same [1250]."

Whether or not the trial is successful, Whitford is glad for the chance to have more family members attend Saturday's game.
"We normally get the same supporters going down south and it just gives us options that family can come," he said.
"They probably haven't been at away games, it's been support staff, players and supporters, so it gives them the opportunity to go down to Hobart this week."
