WRAP's goal is to raise $15,000 through its newly set up GoFundMe page. At the time of print, the group had raised a total of $910.
Committee member Emma Hamilton said the money raised would go towards engaging expert consultants to assist the anti-prison cause.

"The GoFundMe campaign is an important part of a multifaceted fundraising approach to raise the needed funds so that we can pay our own town planners, lawyers and other experts as needed when the government finally reveals its rezone and building plans for the prison," Ms Hamilton said.
"We created the ... campaign because there are a lot of people outside of Westbury, around Tasmania as well as on the mainland, who have commented that they are just as concerned as we are about the effects of the proposed prison on Westbury, and would like to be able to donate and contribute to our efforts."
The government is in the process of undertaking a social and economic impact study to determine whether the Valley Central Industrial Precinct is, indeed, the most suitable site for the $270 million Northern Regional Prison.
Its position is that a prison would bring jobs and economic activity to Westbury and the Meander Valley region.
Former Meander Valley mayors Craig Perkins and Greg Hall recently weighed in to the debate, questioning the prison opponents' approach and suggesting they "settle down", "behave appropriately" and "look at the bigger picture", following a robust public forum fronted by Corrections Minister Elise Archer earlier this month.
