Two people were lucky to escape serious injury after they were thrown from their boat, Tasmania Police say.
About 9am on Saturday, Tasmania Police Marine and Rescue Services were called to the assistance of a vessel in distress at Trial Bay, near Kettering.
The pair had launched their 4.3 metre dinghy at Trial Bay, but were thrown from the boat after experiencing manoeurving issues.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A 49-year-old woman received minor cuts and abrasions. A 50-year-old man was not physically injured.
"Both people were very lucky to escape serious injury," Police said.
"Police would like to thank people in the area who came to the immediate assistance of the couple.
EARLIER:
Tasmania Police is responding to reports of an overturned boat in the state's south.
Two people have reportedly been rescued from the water.
The incident occurred at Trial Bay near Kettering.
No life threatening injuries have been reported.
Tasmania Police said more information will be released when available.
