The 9.3 (57) to 5.9 (39) result came as revenge for last year's grand final defeat and marked the first time Clarence have beaten the Pies all season.

TSLW team of the year centre half-forward Nietta Lynch and 100-gamer Nat Daniels kicked two goals apiece to bring the Pies within two goals early in the last but the Roos were too strong.
Mel Wise was near best on ground with plenty of touches and two goals, while Grace Mitchell (two majors) and North Melbourne player Nicole Bresnehan were also dominant.
A late injury to state under-18 player Netty Garlo was the sole negative on a great day for the Roos.
