About $10,000 damage has been caused to Beaconsfield home after a fire broke out in the kitchen on Sunday afternoon.

Tasmania Fire Service received the call out to the residential property on Weld Street at about 1.11pm on Sunday, a TFS spokesperson said.
The accidental fire was quickly contained within the stove area, with smoke causing damage to the rest of the room.

No occupants were home at the time of the blaze.
Three TFS units from Beaconsfield attended the scene, assisted by two others from Gravelly Beach and another from Kelso.
