The girls got back on the winners' list in their fifth game of the tournament, defeating Western Australia Country 86-51.
Penguin's Ava McDonald was the side's best shooter, hitting 17 points, while teammates Lucy Aherne (13 points and 10 rebounds) and Chloe Broomhall (10 points and 10 rebounds) both nailed double doubles.
The boys were unable to replicate the success against Victoria Metro, going down 88-58 as they suffered their second loss.
NBA Global Academy member Jacob Furphy produced a massive 17 rebounds and 16 points in the defeat, while Nash Walker shot 17 points and Jasper Hay nine.
Both teams play again on Thursday as they play New South Wales Country.
