Volunteers of Tasmania Fire Service will be joined by State Emergency Service, Tasmania Police and Ambulance Tasmania crews as part of the community open day.
Members of the public will get to speak to different members of the emergency services, ask advice and gain first-hand insight into how to prepare in the event of an emergency.
TFS Beaconsfield Fire Brigade Chief Todd Russell said as part of the days events firefighters would be teaching people how to develop a bushfire awareness plan.
Mr Russell said the event would also serve as a recruitment drive for the Beaconsfield brigade with a variety of roles available for both men and women of all ages.
"If we can pick up one member, two members, it's a bonus but if we pick up six or eight, it's gonna be better and better," he said. The open day will take place at the Beaconsfield fire station between 10am and 2pm.
