A 25-year-old man charged with the murder of a 59-year-old man at Sprent has appeared in court.

The man's body was found with head injuries at a Chilcotts Road property on Sunday evening.
About midnight on Monday, Tasmania Police arrested Dane Ronald Pyke at an East Devonport address.
He was charged with murder, aggravated burglary and unlawful setting fire to property on Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday morning he appeared before Magistrate Duncan Fairley in handcuffs and escorted by police officers.
Mr Pyke was represented by defence lawyer Todd Kovacic who told Mr Fairley he was seeking an adjournment without plea.

Mr Kovacic said he was yet to receive disclosure of evidence from Tasmania Police.
On Wednesday, a police spokesperson said the murder investigation was ongoing.
Mr Fairley granted the adjournment and ordered Mr Pyke appear before him again on February 22.
Mr Kovacic did not apply for bail and Mr Pyke was remanded in custody.
