Elective surgery wait times in Tasmania far greater than mainland as COVID impact revealed

New data has shown how much longer Tasmanians are waiting for elective surgery compared with the mainland, and which surgeries are resulting in the longest waits.

Tasmanians are almost three times as likely to wait over a year for public elective surgery compared with patients in mainland states and territories, as new data reveals the extent of waiting list blowouts during COVID.
