Richmond star Jack Riewoldt and Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan were guest speakers at the Hadspen Cricket Club's Champions of Sport Luncheon and opened up about their love for Tasmania.

While Fagan has traded the sunshine of Brisbane for the overcast skies of Northern Tasmania, he said there was nothing like returning to his home state.
"I always enjoy coming back, I obviously spent the first 30-odd years of my life here and I have a lot of friends and family so I try to get back as often as I can which is not often but I enjoy it," he said.
"It's amazing when you go back home how quickly you slot back into the lifestyle, that's the good thing about Tasmania, it's not as hectic."
While Fagan still keeps in touch with players over the break and engages in personal development, Tasmania offers the Brisbane coach a more relaxed array of activities.
"I more just catch up with family, I enjoy some walks, there's plenty of good walks in Tassie just to keep fit but more for social reasons like fishing with my brother down at Port Arthur and things like that."
Riewoldt was fresh out of quarantine but said Tasmania still felt like home despite making his life in Melbourne with the Tigers.
"It feels weird being inside without a mask on but glad the 14 day quarantine period is over and to be out and about," he said.

For Riewoldt, the trip to Tasmania has come to be about family time away from the AFL spotlight.
"I enjoy a bit of road riding so I'll do that, get out and about and eat some good food [and] travel the state, I am going to Devonport next week to see some family," he said.
"It's a lot of family time, I've got two young daughters who don't get to see their grandparents a lot on both sides, my wife is from Tassie as well, so it's good to do a lot of that sort of stuff."
