ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
"I've been wanting to play in Australia for a while, so coach [Scott] Roth hit me up and said I had an opportunity to play there," McIntosh said.
"It was kind of a no-brainer, I told my agent right away that I wanted to come out there and play. I'm super excited to be part of the team, something that's brand new and start our own culture."
Playing for the JackJumpers won't be entirely unfamiliar territory for the 27-year-old, having also played briefly with fellow import Josh Adams in the G-League for the Toronto Raptors.
Having that little relationship can help maybe to bond everybody else together if no one else has played together
- MiKyle McIntosh
"It was a small period of time, but just to have that little period of time to learn how we both play, what each of us is like ... is going to be really important in having a brand new team with a bunch of new players," McIntosh said.
"Having that little relationship can help maybe to bond everybody else together if no one else has played together."
JackJumpers coach Scott Roth said McIntosh brought plenty of pluses with him, particularly his size and toughness on the court.
"MiKyle brings a lot of international experience and a winning mentality to the JackJumpers," he said.
"He is a versatile forward who can make plays for others, and he is a player his teammates will love playing with."
