Finals-bound sides Old Scotch and St Pats' counts saw John McKenzie and Patrick Rodman come out on top respectively as they wore different colours than past seasons.
McKenzie joined the Thistles from the Essendon Districts Football League, returning to Tasmania after almost a decade on the mainland, while Rodman came to the Saints from 2019 premier Hillwood.
They bettered Jonty Swallow and Nathan Barry for their accolades, while Georgia Nicholas, who finished second in the NTFAW's goalkicking tally, won Old Scotch women's best and fairest.
Seventh-placed finisher Meander Valley saw the much-improved Kane Brugeaud take the honours from Richie Heazlewood as former Northern Bomber Sophie Townsend relished her new NTFAW role for the Suns.
After the pair did battle in a fiery clash, Perth and Evandale both announced their award winners Saturday night as well.
Jake Carins made it back-to-back victories for the Magpies' top honour but was eclipsed by reserves clubman Simon Campbell who picked up his sixth.
Having beaten the Magpies earlier in the day, the Eagles' awards saw James Conroy named the best and fairest ahead of coach Sam Bouwman, while Kia Rogers won the women's award.
Finals action gets underway in the division one competition this weekend as East Coast hosts St Pats in Saturday's elimination final and Old Scotch play Old Launcestonians on Sunday for the right to face Lilydale next week.
