But it wasn't even his best personally.
The 28-year-old builder slotted 15 in 2018, with both performances coming against UTAS, formally known as Uni-Mowbray.
Booting six in the first half and seven in the second, eight of which were at one end, Taylor downplayed the bag.
"The boys in the midfield got on top and were kicking it out in front, so it was good to get on the end of a couple," he said.
Taylor began his career at Scottsdale, playing a year of colts at Launceston before joining Bridport, winning a North Eastern Football Union premiership in his first season, 2013.
While the Seagulls' injury-ravaged 2021 season sees them sitting in sixth, Taylor sees positive signs.
"It's just a good club to be around, everyone chips in and helps out," he said.
"We are looking in good stead, everyone that I've talked to is hanging around and obviously we are going to get all of our players back from injury, we've got six or seven out from our senior side, so if we can pick up a couple more on top of that, it will be good."
The North-East stalwart comes from a strong football family, with father Michael a Scottsdale life member, uncle Anthony South Launceston's senior coach and a former State League player and coach, while his sister Dearne captains Launceston's NTFAW outfit.
His 13-goal performance overtakes South Launceston tall Bart McCulloch's 12 as the top senior showing across both premier division and division one, with St Pats' Jake King also having the previous division-one best with a dozen.
Premier division leading goalkicker Luke Murfitt-Cowen has cracked double figures twice, with McCulloch and Brayden Claridge the others to do so, while Taylor, King, Nick Child, Sonny Whiting and Will Harper have done it in division one.
However, none of them hold the league's overall lead with Angus Foster (Longford under-18s) booting 14.
