A total of 11 players from the North will head to Mackay, Queensland next week for the tournament.
With the likes of JackJumpers signing Sejr Deans, as well as fellow national talents Taran Armstrong and Reyne Smith, this year's men's squad looks to stand should-to-shoulder with the larger states.
Head coach Mark Radford has witnessed first-hand the growth of skill in the team, with many of them participating in the Basketball Tasmania high performance program.
He said the squad was excited, particularly those who'll be representing their state for the last time.

With many players eyeing a professional future in basketball, men's assistant coach Brett Smith said a good outing at the championships would bolster their portfolios.
"There's terrific pathways for these young players, there's opportunities everywhere for them if they work hard enough," he said.
"It's very hard to compete with the other states just based purely on numbers, but we believe we've got a very good group here and we want to be playing in the big games later in the week."
Country and metro teams from competing states will be melded for the upcoming nationals; Radford said the familiarity in the Tassie teams would be a distinct advantage at the beginning of the tourney.
"With the chemistry the boys have developed, it gives us in a good position to play well early in the tournament," he said.
Radford added the majority of players in this year's men's team were part of the fourth-placed under-18s team from Townsville in 2019.
