Sarah Veale's side will be without six homegrown talents - Aishah Anis, Micah Simpson, Makala Bingley, Lauren Wise, Sharn Hayward and Emerson Wells - for this weekend's clashes with Frankston and Sandringham due to the under-20 nationals in Mackay.
"It takes away one of our starters in Lauren Wise, although having Kels come in is pretty good for that," Veale said.
"I guess having six players [out], and three of those players play respectable minutes with our group, will certainly change the rotations and how we go about the game plan.
"For us though the fact that we've got six players in the under-20 team is really exciting for the future of the club and there's also another two girls that live in the North that are in that team.
"Looking past this weekend, it's really exciting for us."
Veale hopes the six under-20 players, who will fly back into Hobart next Saturday, will be able to drive to Elphin in time for the 6pm home clash with Eltham.
"They will have had a good six or seven games of high-level basketball, so hopefully they'll be ready to go."
