
St Pats came seven points short of upsetting reigning premier Guilford Young College in Tuesday's SATIS season opener at Kingborough.
Falling to the same opponent by 22 points in last year's grand final, St Pats challenged all the way in a 7.5 (47) to 6.4 (40) loss.
Sctoch Oakburn gets its season under way on Saturday with a 1.30pm home clash against Hutchins, with St Pats hosting Grammar in the same timeslot.
