Voices are raised and throats are warmed for this year's Festival of Voices, with a new fundraising initiative announced as part of the event's Corporate Chair Challenge.
Festival director Peter Choraziak said the challenge this year would assist organisations in looking after their employees' health and wellbeing, as well as raise funds for Hobart City Mission's Winter Appeal.
"We believe everyone should sing, it's just so good for us as humans," he said.
"We've ... created the Corporate Choir Challenge, where each member of the winning choir will get a ticket to any festival event, plus the joy of receiving the coveted Corporate Challenge Cup.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"On top of that, participants will have the satisfaction of giving back to their fellow Tasmanians in need, through a partnership with Hobart City Mission's emergency relief Winter Appeal."
Any business can register to take part but a minimum of ten people are needed for a business to enter.
"We welcome office teams, government departments, frontline workers, tradies, councils, banks, politicians, hospitality workers, broadcasters, teachers - you can even get creative and combine businesses," Mr Choraziak said.
Online and in person training will be provided.
