Tasmania Police has urged businesses to be vigilant and on the look-out for counterfeit money after several reports of fake notes being tendered in the North-West recently.
In the last week, police received at least seven reports of counterfeit $50 and $100 notes tendered to businesses on the Coast.
Police said the counterfeit notes had Chinese writing printed on them.
