With Tasmania's borders opening to every state except Victoria today, you may have been wondering where you can jet off to from Launceston Airport this month.
From Friday you can pay a visit to Burnie, Flinders Island, King Island or Cape Barren Island if you are looking for a getaway closer to home.
Otherwise if you want to have your adventure further afar you can fly directly to Sydney, Brisbane and surprisingly Melbourne too.
During November a flight to Sydney will set you back anywhere from about $76 to $`131 direct. Or if you are desperate to get away on November 12, there is a $575 price tag attached to a multi-leg flight to get you to New South Wales' capital city.
IN OTHER NEWS:
If you are looking to hit up Queensland's notoriously sunny Brisbane this month it will set you back more than the other direct flight paths. You are looking at anywhere from about $217 to $858 direct to get you there.
The $858 price tag is attached to a direct Qantas flight on November 15 if you are interested.
Although Victoria may be the last place on your list to visit, transiting through the airport in a medium or high-risk area is considered low-risk area if you:
- arrive directly at an airport on a flight and do not leave except to board another flight
- transit directly from the low-risk area to an airport or seaport by vehicle, only stopping for fuel
- stay overnight in an approved airport hotel, transiting directly from the airport terminal and only leaving the airport hotel to return to the airport terminal
Meaning Melbourne's airports can still be used to find a connecting flight elsewhere in Australia or internationally if needed.
Flights to Melbourne will cost you anywhere from about $77 to $227 direct this month. Or if you are desperate to get away on November 15, there is a $303 price tag attached to a multi-leg flight to get you there.
