Held by the Tasmanian Feline Association, the Cat and Kitten Expo saw breeders and buyers from across the state converge on the Village Hall.
Breeder Helen Whitehill had two of her cats on display, including a Norwegian Forest Cat.
"They're an unusual cat, very big, and hypoallergenic. I've had him out of the cage so that people can give him a pat," she said.
In other news:
Organiser Sally Tonks said the event was a big success.
"It's been great, really really great," Ms Tonks said.
"We've had a great turnout of not only breeders, but members of the public coming along.
"We've got people from Hobart, Latrobe, Devonport, Launceston - it's been marvellous.
"Everyone's loved looking at the cats, really keen on kittens and asking about the breeds and their different personalities.
"We've been asked so many times about when our next show is - it'll be January 31, 2021 if all goes well."
Launceston couple Peter and Christine James recently lost their cat Daisy, going to the exhibition to learn more about different breeds.
"I think our two year old Lily is really missing her," Ms James said.
"You start off by saying you're not and you're just browsing, but then you fall in love with one," Mr James added.
"I think a cat picks you as much as you pick the cat."
