The Bombers' 8.4 (52) to 5.4 (34) victory squared this season's Northern derby ledger at 1-1 and came after a blistering first term which saw both sides shoot out the blocks with three goals apiece.
Launceston hit the front 20 seconds into the second term with a Jobi Harper snap but it would be their last goal for nearly an hour as the home side tightened the screws on the contest.
At the other end the reigning premiers kicked five consecutive goals to ice the game and go into their last bye of the season on a high.
Launceston faces a four-day turnaround ahead of Sunday's home clash with Kingborough, when it can reclaim top spot.
