Taking five changes in from the side that upset reigning premier Clarence last round, the home side started slowly and led by just 11 points when Sian Beeton and Phoebe Parsons traded goals just before half time.
That would margin would be as close as Kingborough would get, however, as Tiger injuries and a "different attitude" from the Blues combined to produce a second-half blowout.

Daria Bannister (three goals) kicked two in two minutes to start the third term as Clare McManus, Mia King and coach Angela Dickson took control at the stoppages.
Kelsie Hill added the side's fifth with a composed finish to take a five-goal lead into the last term before the Blues ran out 8.11 (59) to 1.0 (6) winners.
Dickson was quick to praise her back five post-game.
"We played very unselfishly today," Dickson said.
"Our backline group held up really strong and it's something we're trying to build on is our communication from the backline forward and they did that fantastically.
"They're the backbone of our team and they definitely deserve to be acknowledged for the effort and what they're doing for us week in, week out."
Amy Halaby, Mikayla Binns and Dearne Taylor were pillars in defence while Tassie Devil Camilla Taylor excelled in the ruck and finished the game with a running goal from the pocket.
Meg Sinclair took a number of strong grabs at half-forward and also hit the scoresheet.
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
"She's been fantastic - Meg's overhead marking is phenomenal and she presents well all game," Dickson said.
"She never stops and if she doesn't win the ball she brings it to ground - she's definitely someone that we rely on a lot and she never fails to impress us.
"She's somebody that we feel very lucky to have in our team and she was fantastic again today as she has been pretty much all year.
"Camilla Taylor dominated the ruck all game, positioned herself well around the ground and finished the game with a goal as well.
"She's been building over the last three or four games with her skills and her dominance out there and today it really paid off."
The win leaves the Blues more than 100 percentage points clear of Clarence.
