The hall - which only hosts minimal Scout activities and was largely hired out to other community groups - was one of three significant properties earmarked for sale following a decision by the Tasmanian branch committee in January.
The other sites were the Lenah Valley Scout hall in Hobart and the Kaloma Lodge and campsite in Wynyard, which are also believed to be on the market.
Bushby Property Group describes the Harry Abbott hall as having "fabulous development potential" subject to council approval, while boasting a "superb location" and zoned as inner residential.
MORE ON THE REDRESS SCHEME IN TASMANIA:
Scouts Tasmania opted in to the redress scheme straight away, but soon found that demand for redress from community members was greater than anticipated.
Should they fail to sell the properties, the organisation could become insolvent.
