Small business Ye Old Green Grocer on Charles Street is delivering boxes of seasonal produce for customers who are trying to self-isolate as much as possible. Orders can be made through their website yogg.com.au or by calling 6334 1456 - but they are closed on Sunday. They also deliver to Scottsdale.
Mount Gnomon Farms have teamed up with other North-West producers to deliver boxes of meat, fruit, and vegetables - and wine. The farm specialises in ethically-raised meat, particularly pigs. Orders can be placed through their website mountgnomonfarm.com.au/shop/ Weekly deliveries will happen in the North-West every Friday, Launceston region on Saturdays and Hobart and the south on Sundays.
West Tamar-based Oldway Farm are delivering organically raised, grass fed beef and pork packs - see their Facebook page for the latest or call 0456 368 579.
Harvest Market have developed an online delivery service to replace the physical market in the Launceston CBD during the pandemic. The Online Harvest Launceston Community Farmers' Market is up and trading, at harvestmarketonline.org.au They will deliver your produce box on Saturdays, with the first delivery scheduled for Saturday, March 28.
In a statement, organisers said, "As we work through our logistics and take the market into a brave new world we will only be able to service the 7248 and 7250 postal codes, but you could always put down a friend's address as your delivery address. We will extend this service as quickly as possible.
"Our online market features many of our stalwart stallholders and a selection of their products from apples, potatoes and pears to coffee, macarons and slabs of chocolate brownies. Lilies and raspberries, sourdough breads and a variety of our specialist vegetable growers are on the site and waiting for your orders so that they can continue to pick, bake, pickle and brew."
Casalinga Gourmet Meats offers free home delivery to Launceston and can arrange delivery statewide. They sell a great range of Tasmanian meat including free range and grass fed with small goods, sausages and a wide range of smoked meats manufactured on site using traditional European techniques.
