Accepting the award in Melbourne on Tuesday night, St.LukesHealth chief operating officer Darren Harris said the fund was extremely humbled to receive the accolade for the fourth consecutive year.
"It is an honour to receive the Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Award for the fourth time and know consumers think so highly of us in such a competitive marketplace," Mr Harris said.
"What sets us apart from our competitors is that we are a not-for-profit health insurer that is consistently putting our members first. We constantly return 92 cents in the dollar to members as benefits compared to the big three for-profit funds that only return 84 cents.
In other news:
"Our staff are highly knowledgeable in the health insurance space and treat everyone who comes through the doors with respect, knowing that each individual has different lifestyle and financial needs.
"In the past year, we have implemented many preventative health measures on top of our Gap Free Preventative Dental to help our members stay healthy, get well and live better.
"Some of these include revitalising our claiming app so that our members can claim on the go; introducing Snug - your health passport for life - as well as continuing our Advanced Preventive Health program and Northern Tasmanian private Post-Natal service.
"This award is testament to the St.LukesHealth team who come to work each day with a vision of improving the health of Tasmanians and indeed Australians."
Mr Harris thanked St.LukesHealth members for partnering with the company on their health journey.
