Police say a number of firearms and ammunition are missing from the Drummond Street address and that the incident happened about 12.30am this morning.

"At this time, the description of both males is they are both of skinny build, about 170 centimetres tall with one of them carrying a hessian sack," a Tasmania Police statement read.
Investigations are continuing and police urge anyone who may have information or may have seen the two males in recent days to phone 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
