A total of 15 firefighters from the Parks and Wildlife Service are currently assisting in New South Wales.
Some Tasmania Fire Service and PWS incident management team personnel are also on the ground.

The TFS said it is due to send more firefighters to the mainland on January 7 dependent on how the Tasmanian bushfire season progresses.
As of Friday morning, 70 bush and grass fires continued to burn across NSW with 33 of these fires uncontained.
Almost a thousand homes, 2000 outbuildings and 78 facilities are believed to have been destroyed since the fire season began on July 1.
