A bushfire on the state's East Coast is back at Watch and Act level.
The Tasmania Fire Service is battling the 690 hectare blaze at Golden Gate Road, Mathinna.
The fire may put the area under risk as it will be difficult to control.
Embers, smoke, and ash may fall on the area.
The Tasmania Fire Service said residents needed to start taking action to protect their family and home.
- If unprepared for a bushfire, be ready to leave for a safer place
- If you don't line near Golden Gate Road, stay away
- If your family has made a bushfire survival plan, use it now
The fire was first reported about 2pm on Friday.
