The youth-oriented initiative has been nominated for the community group of the year award.

The Youth Advisory Council has been involved in coordinating many events aimed younger generations including the Beaconsfield Youth and Community Festival and the Outta the Garage youth band gig.
Other nominees for various Community Achievement Awards include Launceston United Football Club, East Coast Cruises, the Midland Agricultural Association and the Greater Northern Raiders.
Award winners will be announced on November 22.
