The event was organised by the Rally for Rhys Foundation with the aim to help raise funds for Love Your Sister.
Despite being moved from Punchbowl Reserve to the Launceston PCYC due to the weather, Rally For Rhys' Shannon Hodgetts said the turnout had still been fantastic.
"We have been honoured to host a Love Your Sister fundie, and we've got Samuel Johnson here and the Love Your Sister crew," she said.
Love Your Sister is aimed at vanquishing cancer, and passes on all donations toward scientific research. The not-for-profit was founded by Samuel Johnson and his sister Connie.
"It's actually quite overwhelming. Samuel is talking about personalised treatment for cancer and people [were] lined up to sign up for that - which is monthly donations for the rest of their lives," Ms Hodgetts said.
"It's making a big difference and saving lives, literally."
Family Fun Games Fundie took place at PCYC Launceston from 3pm to 5pm, and included games for children and an opportunity to meet Mr Johnson.
All funds raised went to Love Your Sister.
Ms Hodgetts set up Rally for Rhys to honour her son, Rhys, who died three years ago.
"We wanted to do the Fundie for Love Your Sister because Samuel is a bereaved sibling, and we raise money for bereaved siblings and support them within the community," she said.
