The Devils' first coach since Tasmania rejoined the national under-18 competition, Fletcher departs after one year in charge to return to his family in Queensland.
The 49-year-old said he left the role with bittersweet emotions.

"It is a really difficult decision because I love Tassie footy and I'm heavily invested in this program, but some things are bigger than football," the Tasmanian Football Hall of Fame member said.
"I've lived away from my family whilst performing the role and it has been really hard and right now, I feel I need to prioritise my family.
"I'm incredibly passionate about what lies ahead for the Devils and Tasmanian football and I know I'll look back proudly on the part I've played in something pretty special."
Having finished the home and away season second-bottom with four wins and 11 losses, the Devils nearly pinched a spot in finals after pushing Calder Cannons in the wildcard play-offs.
The Devils led at three-quarter time but couldn't hold on as the fifth-placed home side took a one-goal win and advanced into September.
The defeat marked the Devils' sixth loss by 14 points or less for the season.
"It was a game that in many ways summed up our season, but I was so proud of the effort and heart of the boys, they gave it everything and deserved a win," Fletcher said.
"It has been a roller-coaster, but it has been rewarding and great fun, working with a committed group of young men that play for the jumper.
"I'll definitely miss coaching the boys, but I won't miss the cold weather."
AFL Tasmania will review the Devils' maiden season before embarking on the search for Fletcher's replacement.
Chief executive Trisha Squires said the 231-game AFL journeyman would be tough to replace.
"The first year of anything is exciting but also really daunting, and I've admired the enthusiasm and work ethic of Adrian in riding the bumps of a big first season and putting the best foot forward for Tasmania," Squires said.
"Adrian has been a key figure in laying a foundation this year for the many years that follow for the Devils and we really appreciate all of his hard work.
"It is clear for all to see that Adrian is really passionate about Tasmanian footy and I know his decision to return to Queensland has been an incredibly difficult call, but we respect that family comes first.
"We wish Adrian and his family all the very best."
