Vintage: Tamar 2020 will be a new festival comprising of 30 vineyards and wineries on the Tamar Valley route.
The festival dates of May 29-31, 2020 were chosen especially to occur after vintage where grapes have been harvested and wine is released.
Tamar Valley Wine Route chairperson and Brook Eden Vineyard owner Annette Ferraro said the festival drew inspiration from the various beauteous aspects of the valley itself.
"Driving around the Tamar Valley I am always struck by the natural beauty of the landscape and the unique combination of that beauty with man's endeavours in farming pursuits, safe roads to get around, domestic dwellings and of course the stunning vistas of vineyards rising on the slopes of the estuary valley," she said.
"As the owner of a vineyard with a cellar door that welcomes guests from far and wide, I thought a festival to celebrate all this beauty would make the most of this substantial asset."

The festival will feature special tours and events, starting with A Night at the Museum: a television-style quiz event commentated by a prominent wine personality.
The event will include the sale of museum wines from the valley as well as wine tastings.
"The focal point of Vintage: Tamar 2020 will be a 'journey' around the 170km and over 30 businesses which is the Tamar Valley Wine experience," Ms Ferraro said.
"Cellar doors will offer free wine tastings for the weekend and will extend that experience to vineyard and winery tours, masterclasses combined with amazing artisanal local food offerings."
Ms Ferraro said the event was about demystifying the winemaking process and attendees having an open conversation with the people behind the labels.
As well as quality wine, the event will host art installations and music by valley artists for attendees to enjoy.
Early bird ticket sales, as well as an event website, are expected to be available in August.
