The Glamorgan Spring Bay Council is recommended to adopt its rates for 2019-2020 at its Tuesday meeting.
An overall rate increase of 7.4 per cent would come into place.
The overall rates income for the year increased by 9.7 per cent with growth accounting for 2.3 per cent.
The increase would mean the general rate would go up to $95 per annum, or $1.83 per week.

In the agenda, acting general manager Ian Pearce said the increase this year built on the council's need to increase its cash reserves and to meet its future liabilities.
In 2018-2019, the municipality had an overall rates income of 4.29 per cent with growth accounting for 1.69 per cent, meaning an overall increase of 2.60 per cent.
In 2019-2020 for all land used for commercial purposes, a maximum percentage of 15 per cent will be applied to the general rate; for industrial purposes, five per cent of the general rate; for primary production purposes, five per cent of the general rate; for sporting or recreation purposes, three per cent of the general rate.
