Launceston's Choir in a Pub is hosting its monthly event at the Royal Oak on Thursday night.
Organiser Sallyann Geale said anyone is welcome to join the free event.
"In 90 minutes, choir leader Travis Hennessy teaches the choir a pub anthem type song, including parts and harmonies etc. At the end of the session the choir sings the song once more while it's videoed. The video's posted on YouTube," she said.
While there is no charge, each month the group picks a different charity to donate funds to by passing around a beer jug for donations.
This month, money raised will be donated to Headspace. The money will be used to put on free Mental Health Week events for young people later in the year.
"Mental health is a rapidly increasing issue and Headspace provides a key mental health service here in Launceston, particularly for our younger community members," Ms Geale said.
Headspace community liaison officer Alison Filgate said the organisation was excited by the event
"I've always thought singing is a good way to express feeling and help put people in their special happy places," Ms Filgate said.
"We're all going to rock up and have a sing, too."
The event has been running monthly since late last year and has already raised funds for a number of different charities.
Choir in the Pub will be held at 7.30pm on May 30.
