The effects of climate change, an outlook of the Australian tourism industry and balancing conservation and commercialism were three of the main topics discussed at the final day of the Tasmanian Tourism Conference on Thursday.

About 350 people from within the Tasmanian tourism industry attended the two-day event held at Country Club Tasmania.
Organised by the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania, it is dubbed the major tourism event of the year.

TICT's chief executive Luke Martin said it was about giving the industry inspiration, practical business insights and advice.
"Hopefully they leave more informed and energised to go back into the industry," he said.
"The whole theme is 'amazing Tasmanian experiences' and what that is about is recognising that we have something unique in the tourism market."
With the tourism industry growing, and people proposing investment, there is a need to be mindful of the brand and being true to what sets the state apart from the rest of the world, Mr Martin said.
The conference started on Wednesday.
