The Bulldogs will hold a special general meeting at 7pm on March 19 to elect a new board, including a replacement for outgoing president Joey Crawford, who attributed his exit to "toxic board culture".
Life members Marcia Tepper and John Ivory joined Crawford in stepping down, while Craig Newman, Jacqui Claxton and Terry Coughlan also resigned.
Treasurer Dave Kewley will fill the role of acting president until new directors are elected, while Lyle Knee and women's director Kate Child remain on the board.
NTFA president Scott Rigby said he would be in regular contact with the club while it worked through its issues.
"We’ll be working with the club to move forward," Rigby said.
"We don’t have all the details and the facts around the circumstances, but we’ll certainly be working with the club to help them out in any way that we possibly can and we’ll be making contact with those relevant [directors] that are left out there."
