Two parcels of land have been purchased where the developers plan to build about 500 homes on blocks ranging in size from 450-6000 square metres.
The company intends to seek rezoning for the land to create a multi-use residential, tourism, and continued use agriculture community over the next 15-20 years.
The developers are currently working on a proposal to the Northern Midlands Council to rezone the land. Traders In Purple’s chief executive Brett Robinson said the land purchase cleared the way for the company to lodge the application.
“If Traders In Purple’s rezoning application is successful, the company will commence detailed design work on this long-term staged project,” Mr Robinson said.
“Our planning and compliance teams will be working closely with the community, the Northern Midlands Council, and other regulatory authorities.”
The land the developers bought fronts Ridgeside Lane and Logan Road. The developers held two community information sessions in the last two months, which they said gave them “constructive” feedback.
