Guests including West Tamar mayor Christina Holmdahl and Tasmanian Community Fund’s Sally Darke will be among those at the event, which will also include a demonstration from Marine and Safety Tasmania.
Rear Commodore Glen Cornish said the opening was “worth celebrating".
"This is a $500,000 project which has included well over 2000 hours of voluntary skilled labour from club members,” he said.
“We have also had amazing support from the local marine industry and suppliers.”
The ceremonial opening at 2pm will be preceded with performance from the West Tamar Band at 1.15pm.
Commodore Stephen McElwee said the club was “delighted” to host the band.
"We wanted to make the opening something special,” he said.
There will be light refreshments served.
