Devonport company Beardwood Pty Ltd was selected from the five tender submissions for the project.
Tenders for the project were sought from Launceston architecture firm CMK Architects.
Beardwood director Luke Beardwood said he had set up site on Monday with the aim of finishing “by November 9.”
Located at 11 Murray Street, the project involves a range of alterations and additions to the existing site.
This includes a relocation of the Exeter LINC, Neighbourhood House and the community garden into one central area. In her comments from the meeting, West Tamar community manager Michele Gibbons said the updated precinct would serve to “provide stronger linkages to the small business shopping area which will provide an improved level of economic activity within the region”.
