Launceston Animal Care Centre manager Lorraine Hamilton said about 600 people and their pups attended the Million Paws Walk at Royal Park on Sunday.
However, numbers were down on previous years.
“We’re really pleased that people came to the event and supported us,” Ms Hamilton said.
“The dogs had a great time. The dogs think it’s great fun.
“The weather was great, we’re really pleased.”
Ms Hamilton said the funds will be used by the RSPCA to care for seized animals, keeping shelters running, and caring for animals most in need, and to keep animal shelters running.
RSPCA Tasmania aimed to raise $60,000 through the four Million Paws Walks that took place throughout the state.
Walks took place in Launceston, St Helens, Ulverstone, and Hobart.
